••• Landscape Study (Spatial Holes), 2011  Anaglyph
So you really need a pair of 3D glasses (ideally red/cyan) to look at this. Dark red and a dark blue or green photo filter will work too. Red over your left eye. Enlarge image to fill the screen. The longer you look the better it gets. Moving side to side a touch can be useful too.
I have tried to make a spatial equivalent to the RGB concept used in my Pinholes studies. This one uses a set of “clean negs” ( I shot one in color and three b+w with Red Green and Blue filtration at the same time for some tests)  of the landscape used for Pinholes 62.
Currently I am working on a book of 3D images, both Anaglyphs and Chroma Depth examples. Less nature more geometry for that one. It will come with the glasses for both if you can’t see this one! “Crude 3D” due out this fall.

  16. nhales said: I’m curious how you get this effect. (not the anaglyph effect, the visually intriguing “bubble” look). I know you use a large format camera… Do you use a semitransparent mask in the bellows or something?
